I really enjoyed this book for the most part. I loved the twist on the standard vampire premise. I also enjoyed AR's instalove storylines, just as I always do. My only issue was that since it is the beginning of a new series, some of the issues and potential conflicts that were introduced were left unanswered. I expect that they will eventually be answered as the series moves forward but for now, I was slightly frustrated by not receiving those answers. I did completely love Juliet and Kane. They were both super cute!

Ahhhh!!!! It’s a new series with vampires by AR, I mean that’s pure perfection all rolled into one.

I was super excited, when I found out the dynamic duo was releasing a new vampire series, and believe me, they did not disappoint one single bit! Juliet has always known she was different, and here she is trying to fit in, which is how she finds herself standing on the front porch of a scary mansion. Kane is a bit of a loner, and he isn’t the friendliest person to be around either. But when a strange girl knocks on his door, asking for help, both of their worlds are flipped upside down.

I adored the connection between Kane and Juliet. Kane was so protective over her, and Juliet loved him just the way he was. Their chemistry was so beautiful, and I loved the fire and passion between them. I can’t wait to read about the other four characters to find out their stories, and to see what continues to happen between these two.
I absolutely loved reading my arc copy of Bitten by the beast by Alexa Riley. I was completely blown away by this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series. The story was unique and full of love and heat. The characters were absolutely phenomenal and have that instant love connection that we all cant get enough of. This is a definite must read that would be a shame to miss out on.
Cute and fun, this story is on the lighter side. It was almost a slow burn (well as slow as an AR book could be). I liked the plot and the characters were fun. It was more of an introduction to the series with some romance. I will be reading the others. This was just a fun read, not my favorite from this authour, but enjoyable! It was on the shorter side, but that didn't seem revelant to me when I was reading, it was complete.
This is an amazing start to a Vamp series! It’s a first go for Alexa Riley, in terms of Vamps but not PNR altogether. I love that they changed the way Vamps survive without killing. It sucks not having an epilogue because Alexa Riley’s epilogues are awesome.
I know when I read an Alexa Riley book it's typically short and fun. For the most part I just accept that it will be like a bad Hallmark movie but its a guilty pleasure so why not book. The plots are a little dorky, the romance is guilty cheesy fun and to top it all off I can spend an hour reading a book that is typically very naughty.

I bought the full set of these books and that was a pretty bad idea. I don't know if someone didn't proof read these books or what. Events happen that are never explained its just Character X went and did this... Really why? whats the point? No one saw them? nothing its just for some random reason to fill in a paragraph this even happened and then I will repeat that line from a paragraph before to make this short story longer. Each book is all disjointed and each women comes off as pretty stupid. While each man is somewhat ok but again there is no reason why any of them would have survived in a wal-mart let alone for 100+ years. The idea or story line could be there, yes it needs a bit of work and yes I understand its the first time writing about vampires but all and all this set should never have been given the green light for print.
If you are looking to read insta mate/love vampire read then this is it, no cheating/HEA. You must be a hater to give this a bad review. Loved it so much went to AR website because there just got be a continuation...and there will be here are the dates for their release ( Oct 12,19, and 26) with the last being Bishop's story YEA!!!
When I found out that Alexa Riley was writing about vampires I knew I had to get my hands on these books. It was so amazing!!! It is definitely true to the Alexa Riley style and a lot different than most vampire books! I loved every minute of this story! It is fun and sexy with that hint of mystery that I can't get enough of. Vance is everything! He never thinks he will find love. When Juliet comes trespassing on his property he knows he has to send her away, but when he gets close to her he can't seem to let her go. Form the moment he opened the door he knew that she was destined to be his and he would fight for her love. Juliet is amazing! She is just trying to make friends when she is told to go up to the creepy mansion. She does but then her so called friends leave her behind. She knows that she is always better off on her own and decided to go to the door anyways. When she is actually greeted by someone she is surprised. Even more surprising is she feels comfortable around this stranger and comes inside. She knows she should be scared but there is something about him that lets her know he will ever hurt her. The both feel this undeniable pull towards each other and when they ae separated the pulls only grows stringer. Vance will do anything to get her back even going against his family. Juliet wants to know everything there is to know about this man and his house to try and understand this pull she feels. When they finally get back together again it is like magic. They just know and the connection can not be severed. They are so great!! I love Vance and Juliet together. His possessive ness is so cute and funny. The way Juliet doesn't care about Vance's past and just knows that she loves him is everything! You all have got to pick this one up. Its really amazing!!! I Loved it!
