Book 2, "Filthy Beautiful Love" is a continuation of Colton and Sophie's story in "Filthy Beautiful Lies". Their love story is full of romance, passion, heartache, joy, sorrow and lots of steam-up-the-windows sex. Oh yeah! However, I wish I'd known Book 1 was not a stand-alone novel. Yes, it was a "freebie" but readers should be advised up front when Book 2 is essential and is not free. I've read several of Kendall Ryan's books and have enjoyed them all so I probably would've read both anyway but I resent not knowing before I committed to the 1st one.

It's rare that two characters stick with me after the story ends, but that was the case with Sophie & Colton after reading the first book in this series. I couldn't stop thinking about how their story would unfold, if he gets the girl and if these two would ever seal the deal of the contract that brought them together?
"Filthy Beautiful Lies" is a free read but the rest of the books in this series must be purchased. I rarely buy books, because KU keeps my very full. This story was an exception and I'm glad I bought "Filthy Beautiful Love." I needed the closure for these two.
I won't continue reading this series unless it becomes part of KU, but highly recommend the first two books. I like a good love story and this one is just that. Plus, it's not the typical billionaire & virgin story. The sex scenes enhance the story, bringing the connection deeper. This second book ties up any questions I had after finishing the first book plus I enjoyed really getting to know more about Sophie & Colton.
Love love love this book! I hardly ever buy books since I have KU but I had to buy this one! I read the first for free and when I saw I had to pay I didn't even second guess it! I knew it would be worth it, and it was! It's a crazy roller coaster relationship and I can't wait to binge read the next books in the series!

I didn't like this installment quite as much as the first, but a lot of that was just because the original story was such a forbidden thing...it was hard to compete with that intrigue. What this book did do though was go into the much more erotic arena with its sex scenes...so it did bring a tiny bit of that forbidden, too.

And then the author took a heartbreaking turn that tore at my heart. I did not see that coming. But it did give the story a great balance to all the sexy times. This book felt a lot deeper because of that.

I'm surprised at just how much I'm enjoying this series. I listened to the first two audio installments in two days, and then immediately downloaded the next two. I love the length of them...about half the length of a normal length novel, so they are super quick listens and with my busy life, that's perfect.

I am also really excited that the next in the series is Pace's book because I loved the moments I got to see him in this one.
Another great one from Kendall Ryan. Part 2's can be hard, but this is really like a part two instead of a sequel and it picks up at the moment you left off Book one. So if you were left hanging, and you were, then you can't wait to start Book 2.

I'm entrenched in the fact that she gets all the juicy parts right without making the drama too unrealistic or crazy or soap opera-y.

Quick, mindless, and engaging. Just what I wanted and needed from a break in books.
"I knew out of all those men there that night that I was meant to go with you," I say. "You belong with me. Always."

This book picks up right where Filthy Beautiful Lies leaves off. It was a beatiful conclusion to Colton and Sophie's story.

"I miss Colton's bed, his rough stubble against my cheek when we kissed. I miss everything about him. Just as we'd started to grow close, everything I'd come to love was ripped away from me, leaving a gaping hole in my chest."

Sophie is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after the startling news she got at the end of FBLies. She takes off for a trip to Italy with her sister and tries to move on. Colton chases Sophie to Europe to convince her to hear his side of the story. It isn't as easy as it sounds. Explaining something that should be black and white but isn't. In a desperate attempt on Colton's part he finally gets Sophie to move back in. But getting her to forgive him and give him a second chance is another.

"I can't lose you. Not when I feel like my life is falling into place. You were the missing piece."

There is a lot of stuff Colton and Sophie have to work through to move forward. Kendall did a wonderful job showing the struggle they had when they were trying to rebuild the trust between them. Colton didn't know if she wanted him for anything more then his money and Sophie couldn't imagine him wanting her for anything more then her virginity.

"Even without the contract, he owns me, and I'd been foolish to think I could just walk away. I am his."

Love is easy and you can find it anywhere. Being in love is hard work. It takes time, patience and understanding. Colton and Sophie's journey wasn't an easy one but it was a beautiful one. Kendall nailed this ending to their story. I was captivated and finished this story in one sitting. I can not wait for Pace's story to come out. He was a great addition to this story and I am very interested in seeing more about him.

"You're my everything. You know that, right?" I nod, letting the deep feeling of his love cascade over me. I've been afraid to feel these last few weeks, but now I'm letting every emotion pour over me and it's overwhelming – but in the best possible way. "I can't lose you, Sophie," he murmurs. I can see in his eyes that he's been scared, even if he never said it, my behavior has caused him worry. "I'm here. I promise."
